INSIDE SMG & Launch of LiquidThread Turkey

INSIDE SMG series continue to provide discussion to  facts from different perspectives  in order to create a sharing environment on monthly basis, bringing together industry celebrities with SMG Turkey’s clients and prospects.

March, 2 2012: Brian Terkelsen, the President and Managing Director of LiquidThread and 2011 Media All Star by Adweek, was in Turkey to share SMG’s Global vision and practice on how to facilitate human experience across content

Brain Terkelsen introduced “Content” as the new currency, talked on how to measure it, defined “best  practices” in terms of strategy&results with cases and shared how they see Turkish market compared to others. Terkelsen also announced that they started to operate  LiquidThread in Turkey to transfer global knowledge and experience to customers in Turkey .

Previosuly, Terkelsen was the President of MediaVest’s “connectivetissue”. Under Brian’s direction, connectivetissue™ serviced over 100 brands and developed over 200 programs for MediaVest clients including Kraft, Masterfoods and P&G, culminating to over 8,000 minutes of original content.

Brian is a familiar face in Hollywood and a true entrepreneur. He has been in the entertainment marketing industry since 1992 when he co-founded Eco-Challenge Lifestyles, Inc with Mark Burnett and has served as an Executive Producer for numerous productions of Eco-Challenge on MTV, ESPN and for Discovery Channel’s Eco-Challenge series. 

An early adopter of new technologies, Brian created the official Eco-Challenge website—www.ecochallenge.com —and was one of the first to produce live action, digital sports coverage of an event in 1996. Bitten by the “digital bug”, he joined the founders of Quokka Sports as Group General Manager, tasked with creating content in the adventure and sailing genres and managing the overall strategy for programming and negotiated programming deals.
