Summit Sirens Harvest Festival on the Summit to Sea Wine Trail Saturday & Sunday, October 16 & 17, 2010

Celebrate the excitement of harvest with delectable pairings of apples, pears, pumpkins and Pinot at Burrell School Vineyards & Winery, Loma Prieta Winery, Poetic Cellars and Hunter Hill. All the wineries will be festively decorated for harvest, and will be offering something temptingly delicious from the harvest’s bounty to pair with their Pinot Noirs.

Be part of the incomparable energy buzz of the crush, as fermenting bins are filled with delightfully bubbling ripe fruit, and a cornucopia of tantalizing aromas fills the air with excitement and promise. Take a vineyard tour and see the changing colors of fall. Lend a hand on the crushpad and punch down the caps on the fermenting must. Taste freshly picked grapes! See for yourself why it’s the most wonderful time of the year in the vineyard, as the vines turn gold in the autumn sun.

Burrell School: Enjoy a seasonal pumpkin display, autumn fruit sampling of local apples and Asian pears, and hedonistically rich Estate Pinot paired with equally decadent white chocolate macadamia pumpkin bars.

Loma Prieta: Elegant and refined Estate Pinot paired with Custard tartlet topped w/poached pumpkin, garnished with a nutmeg crème.

Poetic Cellars: Smooth and silky 08 Pinot paired with upside down pear cake garnished w/ whipped cream and mint spring.

Hunter Hill: Brand new 09 Pinot, young, ravishing and fresh! Paired with Madeline-shaped pumpkin cranberry cookies. Three per bag.
