Austin, Texas – At The Austonian luxury condos in downtown Austin, homeowners have access to more than 40,000 square feet of amenities for their entertaining needs. The development team recognized that suburban homes often feature party spaces and grand dining areas, the entertainment-valued areas that homeowners feared losing if they moved into a high-rise residence. The amenity spaces in the downtown condo were planned to outshine what those moving from a large suburban home to a downtown space were accustomed to.
Public and private places for entertaining at The Austonian high-rise condos were designed to feel like an extension of a residents’ home. As a result, the luxury high-rise features The Austonian Club, a 6,000-square-foot private club on the 55th floor, and The Lawn, a 12,000-square-foot outdoor recreation space on level 10 that overlooks Congress Avenue and has views of downtown Austin. Additionally, The Austonian has two warming kitchens on the 10th and 55th floors that support catering for homeowner-hosted functions.
“One of the amazing things about The Austonian is that our amenity spaces can accommodate just about any type of event,” says Brooke Straub, the event coordinator at The Austonian.
Residents of The Austonian have hosted birthday parties, holiday dinners, football parties and weddings, among other special events. The 12,000-square-foot Lawn, which features two outdoor grills, eight cabanas, a 75-foot saltwater lap pool, spa, herb garden and dog park, has been the venue for a Fourth of July Party for residents, birthday parties, and a wedding ceremony, to name a few. The 55th-floor Austonian Club was the venue for a sweet 16 birthday party for a resident. The party dined at Second Bar + Kitchen in the base of the building, and spent the remainder of the evening dancing the night away at the highest point in Austin.
The Austonian Club has also served as a venue for a swing-dancing party, private fundraisers and board meetings. The space is also used for more intimate set-ups, such as a Hanukah dinner that was held last year for a small group of 16 people in the private dining room.
These happenings are just a few of the examples of how the entertainment spaces at The Austonian serve as an extension of the residents’ private homes, ensuring that each resident has the opportunity to entertain family and friends alike from a stunning building in the heart of downtown Austin.
