The Fearey Group Receives International PRGN Best Practice Award for Social Media

The Fearey Group, one of the leading independent public relations and public affairs firms in the Pacific Northwest, won the Best Practice Award from the Public Relations Global Network. The award was presented at the organization's annual international meeting in Chicago on September 23.

The Fearey Group received the 2011 Best Practice Award for its social media work, recognizing highlights from recent campaigns including one which in just 12 hours, reached more than 5 million people through print, broadcast, and online media placements in addition to more than 40,000 mentions on Twitter, drawing audiences of more than 12,000 live viewers of a video stream on Ustream.

The PRGN Best Practice Awards received more than 100 submissions, and nearly 15 entries in the social media campaign category. Other categories included Corporate Communications, B2B and Consumer Communications, Crisis Management, Public Affairs and Lobbing, Internal Communications, Event, Green PR, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Social Media Communications.
