Great ideas to keep kids entertained this summer and beyond!

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - July 3rd, 2012 - Like it or not, the family is going to need to be entertained this summer... they may sit and watch the Olympics for a few nights but then they are going to want a bit more than 6 weeks of TV! So what to do? Where to go? Answer: A Family Break!

Even in the midst of the games there are some great deals for London theatre. Check out that family favourite Shrek the Musical: A theatre break on 30th Aug 2012 for one Night at the 3* Royal National Hotel with bed and breakfast, Including a Budget Saver Evening ticket to the show starts at ONLY £67.00 Per Person.

And London boasts an array of family West End shows: Matilda, Lion King, Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe and soon to come the Spice Girls musical: Viva Forever.

This year of course is the first year that fans of Harry Potter can enjoy the Studio tour at Warner Brothers in Leavesden. Everyone who has already gone are absolutely bowled over by the whole place – you have probably already seen someone’s photos of the experience!

Legoland is pulling out the stops too with some great Star Wars scenes and an Underwater experience that everyone is going mad for not to mention their World Record attempt that comes to a head in the middle of July.

Further afield, two major shows are touring the UK – Walking With Dinosaurs is going to Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield and Ice Age Live is going to both Nottingham and Cardiff – all great destinations for a short break and both shows are absolutely fabulous highlights to a short break with the family.

And looking forward, if you are already booked up for summer, then look out for Disney on Ice and the Olympia International Horse Show – both great family events coming up at the end of the year.
