The Dvorak Prague Festival features a string of classical concerts at the spectacular Rudolfinum Concert Hall.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - August 16th, 2011 - Prague's annual celebration of Antonin Dvorak, the most famous composer of the Czech Republic, will return to the city next month.

Running from Thursday September 8th to Saturday September 24th, the Dvorak Prague Festival consists of a series of events held at the capital's famous Rudolfinum Concert Hall.

Some of the world's finest orchestras and most celebrated conductors take part in the concerts each year, with classical music fans travelling from far and wide to enjoy their recitals.

This year's festival will include appearances from the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and solo performers such as pianist Nikolai Lugansky and Dmitrij Rasul-Karejev on clarinet.

On September 24th, the festival will conclude with a concert featuring cello soloist Truls Mork and Yannick Nezet-Seguin conducting the Rotterdam Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets for the events are individually priced. Purchases can be made online or at the Rudolfinum's box office.

Born in 1841, Dvorak is known for incorporating the folk music of his native Bohemia into his compositions. The master's most famous works include the New World Symphony and the Slavonic Dances.
