Win a Canary Century Ride Kit During Bay Area Anti-Cancer Cycling Event

Participants who raise $1,000 will receive a Canary Foundation-themed jersey and shorts for May 28 100-mile bicycling fundraiser

(Palo Alto, Calif.) -- Cyclists who participate in the anti-cancer Canary Century ride on May 28 in Palo Alto, Calif., can win a custom Canary-themed ride kit from high-end cycling apparel maker Castelli.

There are two ways to win: Raise $1,000 or more for the anti-cancer fundraiser; or register five friends for the event, where members of Team Garmin-Cervélo will pedal with participants. Top fund raisers will win custom Cervélo race bikes.

All proceeds will benefit the Stanford Cancer Center, which is doing pioneering research in early cancer detection. The Canary Foundation is covering 100 percent of the cost of holding the event, which means all funds raised will go to the Stanford Cancer Center.

Participants can choose from three routes (100 miles, 62 miles or 50 kilometers) through sun dappled redwood forests and along the majestic California coast. Food, wine and beer will be provided at a post-ride barbecue.
