Lawn Bowling is currently experiencing a renaissance in the U.S. and the USLBA is actively increasing awareness of this popular pastime, even lobbying for Olympic recognition. Lawn bowls in the U.S. is sanctioned by the World Bowling Board, an international sports federation that represents 52 national authorities in 46 nations.
World Bowls has recently been accepted into the Confederation Mondiale des Sports de Boules (CMSB) an international body overseeing the likes of Bocce, Petanque and Raffa. CMSB is already affiliated with the International Olympic Committee, taking a step forward to see Bowls played on the Olympic level.
