Steve Smith, Verizon Wireless President - South Central Region, to Speak at Tulsa Press Club October 25

Speaking on the future Verizon's innovative technology

TULSA, Okla. (October 21, 2011) - Steve Smith, Verizon Wireless President - South Central Region, will discuss Verizon's presence in Oklahoma, as well as its position as the nation's largest and most reliable wireless and voice data network. In addition, he will discuss topics including the unique opportunities Verizon presents consumers and businesses in Oklahoma, and the future of Verizon's innovative technology.

Smith brings more than 19 years of telecommunications experience with Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies. His vast experience includes a background in international finance, business development and strategic planning. He has held various leadership positions within the organization and was ultimately responsible for successfully overseeing Verizon's acquisition efforts, as well as leading, developing and growing the region's business, retail, indirect, finance and operations functions.
Smith holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and an MBA with honors from the University of Rochester. Smith is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
