London - VivaKi’s dedicated R&D entity, the Nerve Center, today announces the appointment of Danny Hopwood to the position of Director of Product for Audience on Demand (AOD) in the UK. AOD is a proprietary addressable media capability which aggregates precisely defined audiences from data sources and enables marketers to reach relevant audiences through a digital interface. He will report into Marco Bertozzi, Executive Managing Director, EMEA.
Hopwood, currently working in Starcom MediaVest Group’s Performance team, is a very well respected member of the Exchange ecosystem with a great insight into the technology, data and inventory market places and has worked closely with AOD on a number of key initiatives and clients. He will make the transition to the Nerve Center in June as part of VivaKi’s Fluid Talent programme. Fluid Talent is an industry leading talent initiative to retain the world’s very best talent and allows VivaKi employees the opportunity to gain experience, broaden skill-sets and prepare for the future by switching jobs and working within other VivaKi entities.
In his new role, Hopwood will have direct responsibility for the evolution and ongoing product development of the AOD offering in the UK marketplace. The Product and Platform team is a global team and Hopwood will work closely with the extensive US resource based in Detroit and Chicago. Danny, along with Geoff Smith who heads up AOD Activation, will be tasked with ensuring AOD remains the market leading Trading desk in the UK.

Danny has experience in digital and DR working at MEC Manchester where he focused on the implementation of emerging platforms and technology in the DR teams. Danny moved to SMG in 2011, he has worked across a number of clients including MoreThan Insurance, Honda Cars, Flybe, Cineworld, Capital One, Universal and Europcar.
