Local professional organization offers program to help marketing and HR professionals start an employee social media policy

APPLETON, Wis., - The next New North Social Media Breakfast will offer local organizations advice on how to develop a media policy on February 17, 2011 at Liberty Hall, Kimberly.

The event, co-sponsored by the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, and Liberty Hall, will feature a presentation by Tammy Williams, vice president of marketing and development at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region about the process her organization recently went through to develop an employee social media policy.

"Having a written policy about how employees can and should conduct themselves online is becoming one of the most needed documents for corporation, but it's also one of the most confusing documents to develop," says Abby Gutowski, co-facilitator of the New North Social Media Breakfast. "The Community Foundation has went through a thoughtful social media policy development process that many local organizations can learn from."
