Braun will work closely with Weidert Group's marketing team throughout the summer to assist with all inbound marketing initiatives.
In December 2011, Braun is planning on graduating in the top 10 percent of her class at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and a minor in information systems. Braun is a continuous member of the Dean's List and an officer for the Golden Key International Honour Society, an organization for students whose grades place in the top 10 percent of their class.
This is Braun's second internship in marketing. During the summer of 2010, she worked with PMI Entertainment Group in Green Bay as an event and shows intern. During this internship, she had the chance to work on the Baylake Bank Tall Ships Festival, which drew nearly 59,000 people to Green Bay in 2006.
When Braun is not in class or interning, she enjoys running and shopping. Braun is also a member of various intramural sports clubs, with her favorite being soccer.
"Textbooks can only teach us so much about our field," Braun said. "Going out and gaining real world experience will not only benefit us in the classroom, but greatly benefit our job search. We will be entering the work force as entry-level, but with experience in a business setting. I am really excited to spend the summer with Weidert Group."
The Weidert Group internship program aims to give students the practical skills they will need for a job in marketing, public relations or design.
