(NYSE: HOT) announces two key hires to the senior leadership team at the new Westin Snowmass Resort in Aspen, Colorado, slated to open in late 2012. Hospitality industry veterans Tim Johnson and Scott Cochran join the Westin Snowmass Resort as the new Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Food and Beverage, respectively.
Late in 2012, the former Silvertree Hotel and Conference Center will reopen under the Starwood Hotel’s Westin® brand, featuring significant improvements. The property transformation will include structural upgrades as well as renovations to all guest rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants and public areas. The hotel will offer unparalleled ski in/ski out access, a new restaurant, a world-class spa, fitness club, pools and hot tubs.

Tim Johnson has over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing management. Most recently he worked as the Vice President of Sales at the All Seasons in Park City, Utah. Prior to that Johnson has worked in hospitality sales and marketing positions in Winter Park, Steamboat and Breckenridge, Colorado.
Scott Cochran brings a wealth of experience in the food and service industry to his new Director of Food and Beverage position at the Westin Snowmass. He previously worked as the General Manager of J&G Grill in Deer Valley, Utah, after working as the Director of Restaurants at the JW Marriott in San Francisco.
