 (Snowmass, Colo.) - On April 1, the Silvertree Hotel and Conference Center will close its doors forever as the property begins its multimillion dollar transformation into the new Westin Snowmass Resort. The renovation will include significant improvements to the existing building structures, all rooms, restaurants, meeting spaces, public spaces and the conference center. The Westin Snowmass Resort will open for business for the 2012/2013 ski season.

Also offering ski in/ski out access, the resort’s brand-new restaurant–The Snowmass Kitchen–will serve three meals daily and accommodate up to 233 diners. The existing gym will be transformed into a first-class spa facility and a new fitness center will overlook the Snowmass Mall. The resort’s upper pool will be redeveloped into a landscaped space ideally suited for outdoor events, and the lower pool will be rebuilt to accommodate two spacious hot tubs. The 20,000 square-foot conference center will be fully renovated and is scheduled to re-open June 1, 2012.
