(TSX: WB) (the “Corporation”) today reported that Whistler Blackcomb received a Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the WorkSafeBC Partners in Injury and Disability Prevention Program for having an effective safety management system and injury management/return-to-work program.

The Certificate of Recognition program recognizes British Columbia employers who go beyond the legal requirements of the Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation by rewarding them with a rebate on their annual WorkSafeBC premiums.

We congratulate them on achieving the COR certification,” says Arlene Keis, CEO of go2. “As one of the biggest tourism employers in BC, Whistler Blackcomb is a champion in promoting workplace safety and its COR achievement is a big testament to the industry’s effort in establishing ourselves as a leader in employee and guest safety.”
