Work Options for Women to Participate in Colorado Gives Day on December 6th

Celebrates the "Give Where you Live" Campaign at Café Options

Denver, Colorado – 10.18.2011 – Work Options for Women (WOW), an innovative job placement and job training program that helps women move out of poverty and towards self-sufficiency, will take part in the one-day Colorado Gives Day campaign on Tuesday, December 6th.

Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day is a 24-hour period to “give where you live” by making online donations to charities featured on GivingFirst.org. As a profiled charity, Work Options for Women will benefit from this initiative. Last year, Coloradans donated $8.7 million to their favorite local charities in support of Colorado Gives Day.

On December 6th, anyone can make a donation to Work Options for Women from the comfort of their home by visiting the GivingFirst.org web site. WOW also welcomes Colorado residents to Café Options to donate and celebrate the day of giving.

Day of Giving Activities at Café Options:
Where: 1650 Curtis Street, Denver, CO
When: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
What: enjoy coffee and treats and celebrate a day of giving. Donate via kiosks in the Café.

FirstBank has renewed its role as corporate partner of Colorado Gives Day and has committed $300,000 to kick off the 2011 campaign. As an additional bonus this year, the organizers behind Colorado Gives Day have introduced $1,000 Bonus Buck prizes that will be given out at least once per hour. A donor will be randomly chosen, and the nonprofit associated with the donation will receive the cash prize. Bonus Bucks are sponsored by local businesses that wish to support Colorado nonprofits.
