Work Options for Women to Participate in First-Ever Colorado Gives Day

Hosting a Day of Entertainment, Giveaways and a Visit from Doug Linkhart at Café Options

Denver, Colorado - 12.03.2010 - Work Options for Women (WOW), an innovative job placement and job training program that helps women move out of poverty and towards self-sufficiency, will host a series of events in support of Colorado Gives Day on Wednesday, December 8th from 7:00am to 3:00pm at Café Options in Denver.

Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, CO Gives Day is a 24-hour period to "give where you live" by making online donations to the hundreds of charities featured on Community First Foundation's online giving resource called GivingFirst.org. As a profiled charity on GivingFirst.org, Work Options for Women will benefit from this initiative and the $1 million in one-day fundraising goal.

To celebrate this important day and to raise awareness for Colorado non-profits, WOW will feature a day of live music and entertainment and contest giveaways as well as delicious apple cider and cookies at Café Options on 1650 Curtis Street in Denver. The café will also host a visit from Councilman and Mayoral Candidate Doug Linkhart at 10:00 am on December 8th.

WOW will have donation kiosks available at Café Options. Donations can also be made to Work Options for Women directly through the givingfirst.org web site. For information on how to schedule a donation, please visit http://workoptions.org/colorado-gives-day.html
