AACS Students Present a Musical Production of The Sound of Music

Students Involved in Performance and Production of The Sound of Music

Annapolis Area Christian School will be presenting a musical production of Rodger’s and
Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music beginning Friday, March 9, at the Kerr Center for the Arts. The first stage performance will be shown at 7 pm Friday evening, in addition to four other shows, March 9, 10, 16, and 17. Tickets are currently available for all performances and guests are encouraged to make advance-day purchases due to the assigned seating space available. Tickets are also available at the door. Reservations can be made daily, 12pm- 6pm, by contacting Lynette Wayne at the Kilby Athletic Center Reception desk, or by calling 410-519-5300, ext 160.

The performers are members of the Upper School Drama Club, along with other AACS
students who attended open auditions. Some students from the Lower and Middle schools are also members of the cast due to the range in ages of the performer roles in The Sound of Music. The event proves another great opportunity for students at AACS, offering involvement with assistance in choreography and directing.  Roman Mykyta (class of 2014) served as a student choreographer, while Megan Griffith (class of 2013) and Trevor Dotson (class of 2012) supported in the direction process.

AACS Lower School students, area home school students, Lighthouse Christian Academy
students and students from St. Paul’s Lutheran School will enjoy a free student matinee performance on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 am.
