Perspectives & Projections to Give Operators & Investors Outlook on Arizona Rental Market
October 31, 2011 - (PHOENIX) - The Arizona Multihousing Association (AMA) today announced the speaker lineup for their annual economic outlook event, Perspectives & Projections (P&P). On Thursday, November 10th, leaders from the rental housing industry, investors and economic development leaders will gather at the Phoenix Convention Center for a half day conference on the future of the rental industry in Arizona. The apartment industry has been the brightest spot in the real estate industry in the Valley over the past two years.
Financing has become one of the biggest hurdles in the industry. This year, attendees will hear from capital advisors who will discuss lending parameters for multifamily projects. This distinguished panel features: Neal Churney, Johnson Capital; Jim Pierson, Legacy Capital Advisors, and Scott Holland, Keystone Commercial Capital who will talk about what capital investors and lenders are looking for in real estate deals.
Elliot Pollack will give his insights into this market as it re-emerges first from the housing collapse. He will present his assessment of how the larger housing industry and job forecasts will affect the rental housing industry. Operators and investors will appreciate Pollack's in-depth analysis of the year over year breakdown and his forecast for where and when the new growth will occur in this industry.
Each year, the P&P audience waits for the market analysis of the midday panel. Pete TeKampe, Marcus & Millichap; Jack Hannum, Transwestern; and Jim Crews, Cushman & Wakefield offer a complete breakdown of vacancies, concessions and rental rates and their predictions for the upcoming year. Their expertise and assessment is normally reserved for their firms' clients. At P&P, these three experts will sit together for a market analysis of the Valley.
"The rental market here is booming in a number of ways, new companies are coming into the market, more than 3,000 new units are in the queue for development, and we have a huge new inventory of homes for rent in the Valley. P&P brings together industry leaders for a half day to dissect what it all means to their business. We have premiere speakers help us make sense of the vacancy rates, job growth and loss rates and what we need to know about financing and investment in this market," said Mike Clow, senior managing director of Greystar Real Estate Partners.
Tickets for the AMA event are $126.00 for members/$165 for non-members and are available at the website - www.azama.org.
