Over the past few years, GLOWfest has made a name for itself by bringing some of the biggest names in electronic music to college campuses across the country including deadmau5, Avicii, Pretty Lights and Sebastian Ingrosso.  Now, the traveling college music tour is looking to bring an entirely new aspect to their festivals: GLOWfest Village.  GLOWfest Village is a pavilion within each festival consisting of ten of the nation’s hottest start-ups.

“We had been to festivals like SXSW that brought a technology and media element to a music festival,” said co-founder Deuce Thevenow.  “We saw a way to link new music with the most innovative startups to provide entertaining and educational experiences to universities.”

GLOWfest Village aims to get students excited about entrepreneurship and pique their interest in alternative postgraduate opportunities like working for a startup or starting a company of their own.  “Deuce and I founded GLOWfest during college and in this tough economy, I think more and more college students are viewing entrepreneurship as a viable career path,” said co-founder Jack Shannon. “We wanted to do our part to help our fellow young professionals by providing them with unique opportunities to connect with these exciting start-ups in an engaging atmosphere.”

Many startups struggle with user acquisition and getting their product in front of real people.  So in addition to helping GLOWfest encourage student entrepreneurship, startups will also have the opportunity to promote/demo their product in front of thousands of college students that will be pinning, sharing, instagramming and tweeting about the coolest new startups they met at GLOWfest.

Startups can also use the exposure as a recruiting opportunity to find potential campus reps, interns or even future job candidates.  GLOWfest is waving its exhibition fee making GLOWfest Village free for these select startups.  Startups can apply for one festival, or multiple festivals at
