They say money is the opposite of the weather--nobody talks about it, but everybody does something about it. Wyoming Women have an opportunity to break that pattern and engage in lively conversations about raising, spending, investing, understanding, managing, and making peace with money, during the She Knows Money! TeleSummit, April 10-12. Free registration is available here.
The TeleSummit includes 12 half-hour conference calls with industry experts and authors who will explore the many facets of money. Topics include access to grants and government resources, preparing for bank loans and private investments, breaking through our own inner barriers, micro credit options and stories that inspire us to invest in ourselves.
Two well-known authors highlight the schedule. On Tuesday, April 10, Aliza Sherman, author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Crowdsourcing and Mom, Incorporated, will delve into “The Shadow Side of Money (Fear, Stress, Aaargh!) Sherman is known for her forthright style of communicating—hitting the heart of the issue head on. She’ll share her own personal journey with money and offer manageable steps to establishing financial wellbeing.
Michael Shuman will wrap up the TeleSummit on April 12 with his presentation, “Local Dollars, Local Sense.” Shuman is an economist, attorney, author, entrepreneur and Director of Research and Marketing for Cutting Edge Capital. He has been a strong and consistent advocate for local business, local investing, and support of entrepreneurship. His most recent book, Local Dollars, Local Sense: How to Move Your Money from Wall Street to Main Street and Achieve Real Prosperity, offers a well-thought-out solution to the nation’s monetary crisis by shifting long term savings from Wall Street to local business. Shuman’s TeleSummit session promises to be a provocative and inspiring look at how entrepreneurs can become part of the solution while enhancing their own prosperity.
