New York, November 7, 2017 -- After honoring hip-hop artists and lighting up the stage with the hottest performances at the 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards, now it’s time to applaud the best in R&B, soul and hip-hop at this year’s BET Soul Train Awards. Dating back to 1987, the Soul Train Music Awards is an annual award show that honors the best in Black music and entertainment. This year, we are proud to announce that the one and only Godmother of Soul, Ms. Erykah Badu, will return for the third consecutive year to host the Soul Train Awards. Fans will be sure to enjoy an evening filled with awards, speeches and performers from their favorite stars. The show will be filmed on November 16 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and is set to air Sunday, November 26 at 8PM/7C on BET.

Previous Soul Train Awards have featured iconic stars including Prince, Mary J. Blige, DMX, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Maxwell and more. Performers have ranged from female hip-hop icon, Lil' Kim, to iconic girls group, Destiny's Child. The Soul Train Awards have always recognized the best of the best in R&B, soul and hip-hop from old stars to rising stars, and will continue to do so each year.

With a successful 2016 Soul Train Awards featuring powerful performances by Brandy, Bobby Brown and Anderson PAAK, this year is sure to bring out the soul in everyone. Last year’s winners included Chance The Rapper, Beyoncé and Teyana Taylor to name a few. This year’s special honorees include Toni Braxton, who will be presented with the Don Cornelius Legend Award and female trio SWV, who will receive the third annual Lady of Soul Award. These honorees are among the wave of performers set to bring their heart and soul to the stage. Additional performers include Kirk Franklin, 112, Daniel Caesar, Keyshia Cole, and Wu Tang's Method Man and U-God. Be sure to check out the full list of performers here.

As far as presenters, Bell Biv Devoe, Deon Cole, Lil Rel Howery, Robin Thede and Sevyn Streeter are set to give away awards during the show.

Nominees include Rihanna, Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown and The Weeknd along with up and coming artists including SZA, Khalid and H.E.R. Solange is at the top of the list earning herself seven nominations out of the total 12 categories.
