Commemorating Women With A Three-Day Festival
Three St. Augustine women join together to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of women's suffrage
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Oct. 3, 2019 -- One hundred years ago the 19th Amendment was passed to guarantee and protect women's constitutional rights to vote. March 27-29, St. Augustine will honor this milestone with a three day festival showcasing women's artwork, films, and performances.
Our time: celebrating women is an
opportunity for the community of St. Augustine to join together and honor the told
and untold stories of local and national women. The festival wants to create a
space to educate and inspire a new generation of innovators and creative female
artists. There will be the showcases of the arts about and by women, as well as
time for one on one interaction with the creators behind the art you are

The festival is partnering with local companies, such as the Corazon Theatre which will serve as a focal point for the films, performing arts events, mini lectures, exhibits and discussions with local filmmakers, historians and artists. As well as the St. Augustine Distillery. The distillery will be hosting the final event of the festival which includes a reception and awards ceremony.
