Buffalo, N.Y. -- Hometown favorite Bison® French Onion Dip brought home the gold at the Great New York State Fair, held from August 25-September 5, 2016, in Syracuse, N.Y.
Bison French Onion Dip won 1st place in the Dairy Dips category at a ceremony to kick off the 40th annual Dairy Day, cementing itself as the best-tasting dip in New York State. Their newest flavor, Bison Bacon French Onion Dip, was honored with an Award of Excellence in the category.
In addition, Bison Lowfat Cottage Cheese won the Gold medal in its category, as did Bison Sour Cream, with Bison Nonfat Cottage Cheese also receiving another Award of Excellence. Representatives were on hand to accept the recognition for their products, as determined by a panel of judges from state government, academia and retail, who rated the products based on appearance, texture and taste, and scored them on a 100 point value scale.
