Alltrans to end shuttle services for the Jackson Hole Airport on November 30

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Alltrans has pulled out of its transportation contract with the Jackson Hole Airport two years early. According to Airport Director Jim Elwood, the airport received an email notification on October 15 that Alltrans planned to end service. The term of the current shuttle contract was supposed to continue through October 31, 2017. "Alltrans will continue to provide Ride2Fly service to and from the airport until November 30. They have indicated that they will continue to provide shuttle services for existing reservations," said Elwood. Alltrans has been providing shuttle services at the airport for 20 years, including the Ride2Fly shuttle, taxi and executive charter services. In December 2014, just after Alltrans was purchased by Wide Range Rides, the company signed a three-year contract with the airport. To fill this transportation void, the Jackson Hole Airport has issued a request for proposal for companies to provide both Ride2Fly and shuttle services. Proposals are due by 10 a.m. on November 20 and the airport hopes to notify the successful proposer early the following week. Ride2Fly services will switch to the new provider on December 1. "The goal is to ensure that there is no interruption in either service and that customers who have made plans with Alltrans receive the services they’ve purchased either by Alltrans or by the new provider when they take the service over," Elwood added. Currently, other transportation options from the Jackson Hole Airport include taxis, executive service (limo hired per hour or per diem), executive charter (vehicles for seating of at least 10 and hired per hour or per diem), and courtesy vehicles provided by the lodges and hotels. According to Elwood, the airport expects to see approximately 200,000 passengers travel to and from the airport for winter activities. Of those, Elwood anticipates 15,000 to be potential shuttle customers. *Feature Photo: Jackson Hole Airport / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail
