Wednesday Dispatch: Domestic violence, DUI, and heroin found near an apartment complex

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 37 calls to the area dispatch on Wednesday, November 11. Please note that we also included details from the Tuesday dispatch, that weren't available yesterday due to Veterans Day. *Crime Reports and Arrests * Domestic Violence: On Tuesday at 7:49 p.m., Jackson Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance. It was discovered that a couple was fighting over alleged drug abuse by the male. During the argument the male shoved the female, choked her, and bit her. When she tried to call 911 the male took the female’s cell phone from her. As a result, the male was charged with domestic battery and interference with emergency calls. Found Property: At 2:33 on Wednesday, a property manager reported to the Jackson Police Department she had found a bag containing suspected narcotics and paraphernalia in the bushes at her apartment complex. The items tested positive for heroin. According to the Jackson PD, a possible suspect owner has been identified and follow-up continues. DUI: On Wednesday, Zachary Thomas Dornan, 25, of Jackson was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance - marijuana. *Collisions* There were four total auto collisions yesterday, including three hit and runs. Hit and Run: On Tuesday at 3:34 p.m., A vehicle was at a gas pump at a local convenience store when another vehicle backed into the vehicle that was fueling up. The driver of the suspect vehicle quickly drove from the area after the collision. Follow-up is ongoing to collect video surveillance from the convenience store. Hit and Run: at 12:04 p.m. on Wednesday, A subject reported his vehicle had been struck by another vehicle at an unknown location. The subject reported his vehicle was not damaged when he left his home, but he discovered it was damaged after returning home. He had been to at least three locations while he was gone from home. At this time it is unknown exactly when or where the vehicle was damaged. *Other* Other dispatch reports included animal control calls, citizen assists, snow tow warnings, medical assists, lost and found property, and driving complaints. #buckrail
