Fireman's Ball draws 2,800, raises more than $100k

(Jackson, Wyo.) - This past Saturday was the 75th Fireman's Ball, which is the primary benefit for the Jackson Firefighter's Association. This year's event drew 2,800 people and, so far, fundraising totals are exceeding $100,000 (although it isn't all yet counted). The all-star lineup featured North Mississippi Allstars, Anders Osborne, Sam Bush, and Chancey Williams and The Younger Brothers Band. “This year’s event was hugely successful and we were happy to bring some big music into town to thank our supporters,” says James Powell, Event Director/Promoter. “Our audience is a cross-section of our community, from ranchers to ski bums, and so our music choice this year was a nod to that diversity. When we see cowboys dancing next to ski bums, that’s a great thing,” Powell added.
