12 teams compete at Robotics Rodeo at JHHS yesterday

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Yesterday, more than 200 people attended the Robotics Rodeo at Jackson Hole High School hosted by the Jackson Hole RoboBroncs. The event was a FIRST Lego League (FLL), which is a competition where teams research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS®, then compete on a table-top playing field. According to RoboBroncs coach Gary Duquette, there were 12 FLL teams (4-8 grade) -- three from Buffalo, two from Pinedale, two from Journeys School, two from Wilson Elementary, two 6th grade teams from Jackson Middle School, and one 7th grade team from Jackson Middle. There were also six Junior FLL Teams from Wilson (k-3) that had displays and projects. Here are the results: 1. Buffalo #1 2. Journeys #2 3. Journeys #3 4. Wilson elementary #1 5.
