Mary Cutler named library's 2015 Volunteer of the Year

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Mary Cutler has received the 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award from the Teton County Library Friends. According to a recent release from the Teton County Library, Cutler was recognized for her warm smile, caring demeanor and quiet dedication. “Mary sees the big picture and also pays attention to the details. Follow-through is her middle name. While she is fairly quiet, she has a terrific sense of humor. I feel very fortunate to have her support as a volunteer at the library,” said Lokey Lytjen, the library’s Volunteer Coordinator. Cutler reads widely and regularly helps with the library’s Interlibrary Loan program. This past year, Cutler also stepped up to coordinate and lead the Senior Book Club. “Mary lined up the books that would be read monthly for the year, placed the orders for the books, recruited discussion leaders for each month, distributed the books, and made the program run smoothly,” said Lytjen. Cutler also volunteers at the library’s youth programs and particularly enjoys assisting with the fall Latino Heritage programs, including the Day of the Dead folk art craft. The award was announced at the library’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Nov. 13. *Feature Photo: Lokey Lytjen (left) and Mary Cutler (right). h/t Teton County Library / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
