Snow, wind and slick roads cause 52 Thanksgiving day crashes around the state

(Wyoming) - The winter snowstorm on Wednesday, November 25 and Thursday, November 26 resulted in several travel and highway issues for the holiday. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP), there were 52 crashes on Thanksgiving day between 12:01 a.m. and 1 p.m. Of these crashes, 17 involved injury, 33 involved property damage only, and two were hit and runs. There were no fatal crashes reported by the WHP. On top of the crashes, the WHP dispatch center received 737 calls for service including 107 vehicles stranded in the snow or broken down.
