Parks and Rec releases Snake River Management Plan Draft Annual Report

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Last night, Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation released the 2015 Draft Annual Report for the Snake River Management Plan . The report analyzes the data from 2015 usage and makes recommendations for improvements and changes in 2016. Teton County finalized the Snake River Management Plan in April to address recreation access, facilities, and public use to protect or enhance the quality of recreation opportunities and other resources in the area. This is the first draft annual report for the River Management Plan. On top of the 2015 data, it reports on the status of management actions on the river, including allowable uses, facilities and access, use and capacities, commercial use management, allocation and reservation systems, and commercial use fees and County river management budget. The annual report also includes public comment and recommendations. The draft annual report is available to view here. Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation is allowing for three opportunities for the public to provide feedback on the plan and annual report: - December 3: Open House from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the 4H Extension Office at 255 W. Deloney. There will not be a formal presentation, this is an opportunity to provide written comments. - December 9: Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting at 5 p.m. at the Town of Jackson Chambers. - December 15: Regular Board of County Commissioners meeting at 9 a.m. at the Commission Chambers.
