(Teton County, Wyo.) - Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five free things to do around the county: *1. Victor Holiday Festival and Light Parade:* Tomorrow all day, this event includes storytelling, turkey bowling, Santa visits, a light parade, fireworks and more. *2. LEGO Builders at the Teton County Library: *This family friendly
program encourages creativity and fun while building LEGOS. At the end of
the building time, each person can share their creation. The event is held
in the Teton County Library Youth Auditorium at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
*3. TubaChristmas: *TubaChristmas was established in 1974 in memory of one
of the world's foremost tuba players, William J. "Bill" Bell, retired
professor at Indiana University and former member of the NBC Symphony under
Toscanini, the Sousa Band, and the Goldman Band. The Jackson Hole Community
Band has sponsored and presented TubaChristmas since 1992, and players from
ID, NV, and other locations throughout western WY have joined our local
band members this festive event. The event is tomorrow at 12 p.m. at the
National Museum of Wildlife Art and is free to the public.
*4. Jackson Hole Chorale Holiday Concert 'Gloria':* The public is invited
to attend this free concert, featuring the singing of Vivaldi’s Gloria
along with other holiday classics. The Chorale will be collaborating with
members of the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra and the Jackson Hole Brass
Quintet. The event is on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains
*5. First Sundays at the National Museum of Wildlife Art:* This First
Sunday celebrates the “Wyoming Grasslands” exhibit with family-friendly
programs connected to the exhibition and the holiday season. Santa Claus is
scheduled to arrive from the North Pole at 11:30 a.m. and will meet with
children between then and 2:30 p.m. to deliver his annual message of
happiness around the world. The Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir will sing
holiday carols between 2 and 4 p.m. The Byers’ Choice Caroler figurines
will be on display and holiday snacks will be served. Guests will be
invited to make their own grassland inspired holiday ornament. All First
Sundays are free to Teton County residents.
