Town and County to discuss Community Priority Fund, Rec Center Update, and Housing Action Plan today

(Jackson, Wyo.) - The Town of Jackson Council and the Board of County Commissioners will meet today at 3 p.m. for their monthly joint information meeting. One of the primary topics of today's meeting includes further discussion of the Community Priority Fund and Specific Purpose Excise Tax (SPET). Action on this topic may include a one percent SPET being added to the ballot in the next election. Officials will also discuss the Rec Center Master Plan Update, which includes a $34 million re-design and expansion of the recreation center. Read more about this plan here. Additionally, the town and county will discuss implementation of the Housing Action Plan, which was approved on November 2. Town and county staff will provide an update to the Town Council and the Board of County Commissioners regarding the efforts currently underway and those steps to be undertaken in the next six months in order to operationally implement the policy level direction provided by the Jackson/Teton County Workforce Housing Action Plan.
