GAP! spreads holiday cheer through random acts of kindness

(Jackson, Wyo.) - This week, middle school girls from the local program GAP! (Girls Actively Participating!), completed random acts of kindness to spread holiday cheer in Jackson. According to GAP! Executive Director Jess Yeomans, this is the forth year that the program has done this holiday tradition. "We spent one meeting planning our list, then we spent one or two meetings ticking our deeds off the list," Yeomans added. During the week, the girls completed several random acts of kindness, like: - Putting words of encouragement on people's cars - Made and handed out treats for teachers, health care works, janitors, and anyone else who could use a little dose of holiday sweetness - Sang carols at Morning Star Assisted Living - Put kind notes in books at the library - Brought donations of clothes, books, and toys to CLIMB Wyoming - Donated dog and cat treats to the Animal Adoption Center and Animal Shelter - Donated children's books to local daycare - Helped the school janitors clean classrooms - Handed out 100 long stem roses to service workers and patients at the Living Center.
