Wednesday Dispatch: DUI, theft, sexual assault, and hit and runs

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 42 calls to the area dispatch on Wednesday, December 9. *Crime Reports and Arrests * DUI: At 12:46 a.m. early Wednesday morning, Merritt Kearny McClelland, 22, of Wilson was arrested for driving under the influence. Theft: At 10:12 a.m. on Wednesday, a report was received by the Jackson Police Department that a tenant at an apartment complex was suspected of stealing from other tenants in the building. According to the Jackson PD, the stolen items include cash and cigarettes. Follow-up is ongoing. Sexual Assault: On Wednesday at 11:19 a.m., a woman reported to the Jackson PD that her ex-husband had sexually assaulted her approximately two weeks ago. At this time she has requested no additional follow-up and asked that the report be documented only. Theft: At 5:04 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, a gas station reported to the Jackson Police Department that a vehicle had filled with gasoline and drove off without paying. The clerk had no description of the vehicle or the suspect. *Collisions * There were six total auto collisions yesterday, including one that involved injuries and two hit and runs. Hit and Run: At 10:48 a.m. on Wednesday, a man reported to the Jackson Police Department that his vehicle had been the victim in a hit and run. The subject did not know where or exactly when it occurred, but thinks it happened within the Town of Jackson. According to the Jackson PD, there are no leads. Hit and Run: At 4:09 p.m. on Wednesday, a man reported to the Jackson Police Department that his vehicle was struck while it was parked and unattended at his apartment complex. According to the Jackson PD, there are no leads. *Other* Other dispatch reports included code enforcements, snow tow citations, false alarms, traffic problems, lost and found property, animal control complaints, driving complaints, and citizen assists. #buckrail #news
