Tomorrow's Winter Wonderland Family Day offers cookies, calligraphy and more

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Tomorrow at the Teton County Library is the Winter Wonderland Family Day, a day featuring gingerbread cookie decorating, a calligraphy art demonstration and more. According to an announcement from the library, "we’ll provide the gingerbread people (from Persephone Bakery) and all of your favorite candy decorations to make your own creative holiday sweet. Before or after decorating cookies, watch as library volunteer Nancy McCarthy demonstrates the art of calligraphy. Children will receive a personalized bookmark with their names penned in calligraphy." “This is a fun, festive day at the library,” says Oona Doherty, Education and Program Manager. “Our volunteers have been stockpiling hundreds of books to ensure a great selection for the Children’s Book Sale. Kids will go home with their own decorated cookies and, quite possibly, the perfect read for the holidays.” The crafts are free and open to the community. *Feature Photo: h/t Angie Six via Creative Commons / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news #whatshappening
