Snow King Mountain reveals Phase 2

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Friday afternoon, Snow King Mountain held an open house to reveal the plans to begin Phase 2 of the Snow King Mountain master plan. Snow King President Max Chapman introduced the big changes included in Phase 2, while GM Ryan Stanley went through the details of the improvements. The plan will include a replacement of the existing Summit Lift with a gondola, a restaurant and meeting space at the summit of the mountain, a telescope and observatory at the summit, ziplines that begin at the summit and terminate at the base, an improved access road to the summit of the mountain, a new mountain bike park, additional hiking trails, and expansion of ski area boundaries. “It will be a game changer for Snow King,” said Chapman of the restaurant and meeting space at the summit during the presentation. Stanley explained that these improvements are at least three years out, and will include a two-year environmental impact study. “I think it is an exciting time for everyone involved with Snow King,” Stanley. “We really believe that this is the right thing for the Town of Jackson and Snow King and Jackson Hole.” More information on Phase 2 is available at *Feature Photo: Mock up of the observatory at the top of Snow King Mountain.
