(Jackson, Wyo.) - Jackson Hole is one of the best places to spend the holidays. On top of the snowy weather and festive lights, the there are tons of fun and family friendly events to get into the holiday spirit. Here is a list of family-friendly events happening for the rest of December: *December 15 - 24 - Santa on the Square: *Santa will be on Town Square each evening from 5 - 7 p.m. beginning December 15 and running through Thursday, December 24. Town Square is lit with thousands of glittering lights and the Stage Stop Building on the southwest corner of the square will be as warm and cozy as Santa's workshop. Children are invited to bring their wish lists and parents are reminded to bring their cameras. More information is available here . *December 15 - January 23 - Winter Wonderland Ice Skating on Town Square: *Join in the fun of Ice Skating on the Town Square, in the Winter Wonderland! The rink plans to open on the 15th of December and remain open until January 23rd. *December 17 - Ceremony of Carols: *The Jackson Hole Classical Academy invites the community to attend the students' Christmas performance of traditional carols and poetry recitations on December 17 at 6:30 p.m. at 3255 West High School Rd. in Jackson. There will be a cookie reception to follow. All are welcome and admission is free. *December 18 - Totally Toddler Holiday Party: *Santa is coming to the Jackson / Teton County Parks and Recreation Totally Toddler Christmas Party. Join in the fun and visit with Santa, get your picture taken, hop in the pool for some toddler swim, jump in the bounce house and enjoy games and holiday crafts in the gym. The event begins at 10 a.m. *December 18 - Merry & Bright Concert: *Under the artistic guidance of Director Laura Huckin, Cathedral Voiceswill present a winter holiday concert - "Merry & Bright" - an annual holiday tradition. On Friday, December 18 at 7 p.m. in the Walk Festival Hall, Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir and the all-female Treble Voices will perform holiday favorites old and new, partnering with the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra, Big City Broadway Youth Show Choir and the Jackson Hole Brass Quintet. *December 18 - The Jackson Salon Show: Annual Member's Show & Christmas Party:* This event celebrates the engaged community of Art Association Members. This year's exhibition will also be the annual Christmas party open to the community at large. More information is available at www.artassociation.org. *December 19 - Grand Opening Teton Lift and Piste Restaurant:* Join JHMR for the Official 50th Anniversary Celebration Day. More information is available at JacksonHole.com . *December 19 - Santa Arrives in Teton Village: *The event begins at 4:30 p.m. at the base of the Gondola. From 4:30 - 5 p.m. there will be live music and free hot chocolate. At 5 p.m. Santa will arrive in his new 50th Anniversary Sleigh. After Santa arrives, there will be a fireworks celebration scored to five decades of music. The event is free and open to all. *December 19 - Merry & Bright Concert: *On Saturday, December 19 at 3 p.m., at the Jackson Hole High School Auditorium, Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir and the all-female Treble Voices will perform holiday favorites old and new, partnering with the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra, Big City Broadway Youth Show Choir and the Jackson Hole Brass Quintet. *December 19 - Holiday Concert at the Center Theatre:* Take a break from your hectic holiday schedule and join the Jackson Hole Community Band for this festive concert. Conducted by Jennifer Levanduski, this concert includes traditional favorites and some new selections. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the JH Food Cupboard. *December 19 - Mountain Coaster Opens:* The Cowboy Coaster will be open Tuesday – Sunday starting on December 19. *December 19 - National Elk Refuge Sleigh Rides Begin: *Sleigh rides begin for the season on Saturday, December 19 and operate daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for Christmas Day. The rides are a way to observe and photograph wildlife on the refuge. In addition to elk, passengers routinely see coyotes, bald eagles, trumpeter swans, ravens, and other wildlife. More information is available here. *December 20 - 24 - Nativity Scene on the Town Square* *December 20 - Winter Solstice Celebration and Stargazing at R-Park:* Join Rendezvous Lands Conservancy for a Winter Solstice Celebration beginning at 4 p.m. at the far northwest corner of R-Park and then stick around for stargazing beginning at 5:30 p.m. Stargazing will take place from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the same location as it did this summer at the far northwest corner of Rendezvous Park, near the location of the gravel pit. *December 20 - Ornament Making at Hotel Terra: *Kids, ages 3-12, are welcome to this free event where they can create their own ornament with Jackson Hole Art Association. Hot Cocoa will be provided. The event is at 3 p.m. at Hotel Terra. *December 22 - Holiday Cookie Decorating at Teton Mountain Lodge:* From 4 - 6 p.m. at Teton Mountain Lodge, bring the family for some festive cookie decorating. Located on the main floor at the K-bar. *December 22 - **Christmas Caroling Sing-Along in Jackson: *Cathedral Voices and the Jackson Hole Chorale will present the first community-wide Christmas Caroling Sing-Along on December 22 from 6 - 7 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 170 Glenwood, Jackson, WY. All are welcome to attend this free event and enjoy singing their favorite holiday songs. *December 23: **Cowboy Santa Visits & T'was the Night Before Christmas Reading: *On December 23 from 5 - 7 p.m., visit with Cowboy Santa fireside at Teton Mountain Lodge in Teton Village. A reading of T'was the Night Before Christmas will follow. *December 24: Interdenominational Holiday Service:* Starting at 5 p.m. in the Hotel Terra Ballroom, there will be an Interdenominational Holiday Service. *December 24: Catholic Mass at the Four Seasons: *On December 24 starting at 6:30 p.m. the Four Seasons Resort in Teton Village will offer a Catholic Mass on Christmas Eve. *December 25 - Skiing with Santa: *After your usual Christmas morning festivities, JHMR would like to invite families of all ages to come out and take a few runs with Santa. He'll be around the Teewinot and Bridger Gondola area, spinning the lifts and making turns with the kids, so look to catch him between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. *December 31 - Glow Worm Parade for Kids at JHMR:* This New Years' tradition substitutes glow sticks for torch lights. Kids up to 14 years-old-who are comfortable skiing Teewinot, are welcome to participate. Meet at the Kids Ranch at 4:50 p.m., and the parade on Teewinot Run at 5:30 p.m. Come dressed with skis and boots (no poles please). Younger kids will do a shorter parade before the older. Details are available at JacksonHole.com . *December 31 - Torchlight Parade and Fireworks at JHMR:* JHMR employees will treat the community to a traditional torchlight parade on Apres Vous followed by a celebratory fireworks show. Parade starts at 6 p.m., fireworks to follow. *December 31 - Kids Night Out at JHMR:* On Kids Night Out, the Kids Ranch offers evening activities for children ages 4-18 in a supervised environment. Activities include a pizza party, indoor and outdoor games, movies and sledding. This annual event kicks off the new year with a bang and is just as much fun to watch as it is to ski down. Expert skiers (who are comfortable skiing steep terrain in the dark carrying fire) are invited to participate in the parade. More information is available on the Snow King Mountain website . *December 31 - Grand Targhee: New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks:* Come watch or participate in Grand Targhee Resort's Torchlight Parade. The Kid's Glowstick Parade is perfect for kids between 5 and 14 who possess basic turning and stopping skills. Kids meet time is 4 p.m., and their parade is at 4:30 p.m. Adult's Torchlight parade is open to skiers and riders 12 and up and space is limited.
