Food For Fines program collects 665 pounds of food for charity

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Last month, the Teton County Library held Food For Fines, which resulted in the collection of 665 pounds of food and 654 food items. The Food For Fines program allowed library patrons to clear their overdue fines by bringing in a canned food item to donate to charity. "Sometimes, library fines for overdue materials make people feel a bit guilty or unsure about venturing back into the library. Our Food for Fines program is an opportunity for the library to let patrons know that we want them to come back," said Rebecca Huntington, communications and digital media specialist for the Teton County Library. The food was donated to the Jackson Cupboard, a food bank serving Teton County. *Feature Photo: h/t Creative Commons / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
