5 free things to do in Teton County this weekend

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are five fun, festive, family friendly and FREE activities happening in the area *1. Santa on the Square:* Santa will be on Town Square each evening from 5 - 7 p.m. all weekend long. Town Square is lit with thousands of glittering lights and the Stage Stop Building on the southwest corner of the square will be as warm and cozy as Santa's workshop. Children are invited to bring their wish lists and parents are reminded to bring their cameras. More information is available here . *2. Eat, Drink & Be Merry:* Today from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., the Jackson Whole Grocer is hosting a free holiday gathering. Little kids can meet Santa, drink hot coco and participate in free cookie decorating. Adults can sample beer, wine and spirits, as well as learn entertaining and gift ideas. There will also be live caroling from the Cathedral Voices and an Angel Tree for Charity. *2.* *Merry & Bright Concert: *Under the artistic guidance of Director Laura Huckin, Cathedral Voices will present a winter holiday concert - "Merry & Bright" - an annual holiday tradition. On Friday, December 18 at 7 p.m. in the Walk Festival Hall, Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir and the all-female Treble Voices will perform holiday favorites old and new, partnering with the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra, Big City Broadway Youth Show Choir and the Jackson Hole Brass Quintet. There will also be a duplicate event on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Jackson Hole High School. This event is free, although there is a $5 suggested donation. *3.* *Santa Arrives in Teton Village: *The event begins at 4:30 p.m. at the base of the Gondola. From 4:30 - 5 p.m. there will be live music and free hot chocolate. At 5 p.m. Santa will arrive in his new 50th Anniversary Sleigh. After Santa arrives, there will be a fireworks celebration scored to five decades of music. The event is free and open to all. *4. Holiday Concert at the Center Theatre:* Take a break from your hectic holiday schedule and join the Jackson Hole Community Band for this festive concert. Conducted by Jennifer Levanduski, this concert includes traditional favorites and some new selections. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the JH Food Cupboard.
