(Teton Village, Wyo.) - The Teton County Sheriff's Office just released the identify of the skier who died at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort this morning
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Kelsey Hewitt of Portland, Oregon.
At approximately 11:02 am JHMR Ski Patrol received a call reporting an
accident on Sundance Run below Croaky Point. Hewitt was found unresponsive
on the skier’s left side of the trail within a group of trees. Second to
the reporting party Jackson Hole Ski Patrol arrived on the scene and
performed life support efforts. The victim was transported to the St.
John’s Clinic in Teton Village at approximately 11:24 am and was pronounced
dead at the clinic at 11:38 am.

situations is suffocation, although an official cause of death will have to
be determined by the Coroner.
