WHP to post New Year's arrests and traffic stops on social media

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is calling its New Year's anti-drunken driving campaign an attempt to deter motorists from making bad decisions. If they catch you driving intoxicated or otherwise unsafely this weekend, you might get your face posted on one of their social media accounts. Using the hashtag #DoNotGetHashtaggedByWHP, the WHP will be posting "up-to-date" DUI arrests and other safety related traffic stops from around the state on its Facebook and Twitter accounts. "The goal is to reduce impaired driving, impaired driving crashes and to increase safe driving habits so motorists don't get 'hashtagged' by us with their arrest or traffic stops getting posted on our Facebook and Twitter accounts," WHP Sgt. David Wagener said in the announcement today. How would you feel having your traffic stop posted live on Facebook? #buckrail #reboot #county10 #county17 #dally #oilcity #shortgo #news
