(Pasadena, Calif.) - The Wyoming All-Star Marching Band is undergoing final preparations for their appearances in the Disneyland Parade on Thursday and the Rose Parade on Friday. The Wyoming band is one of only 18 bands to march in the world-famous Rose Parade. Of the 300+ students chosen from all over Wyoming to be a part of the band, two were selected from Jackson, 20 from Pinedale and two from Star Valley.
In addition to the parades, the All-State Band participated in a band
competition yesterday at Pasadena City College (see video below) and the
students will have an opportunity to visit such Southern California
attractions as Universal Studios, Disneyland, Hollywood and the beaches of
the Pacific Ocean.
The band performed yesterday morning at Pasadena City College:
The announcer even mentioned Jackson at the beginning of the performance,
noting that the bus didn't start in town because of the -20 degree cold.
