Late night fire breaks out at O'Ryan Cleaners, details and photos from the blaze

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Last night at 10:16 p.m., there was a call to the Teton County Dispatch about a structure fire at O'Ryan Cleaners at 800 W Broadway in Jackson. According to Battalion Chief of Operations, Matt Redwine, the call came in as a commercial fire alarm, and they had initially sent only one fire engine and an ambulance. Just a few minutes later, they got info from a Jackson Police officer, who saw the smoke, so they called in resources from Adams Canyon, Station 1 and West Bank. Approximately 30 firefighters from multiple agencies responded very quickly to the fire. "As I walked around the building I saw flames and heavy smoke in the back of O'Ryans," said Redwine. Redwine said that the department had the flames out within about 10 minutes of arrival, but spent hours making sure that the fire hadn't spread to the attic or other stores in the area. There was smoke damage at businesses all the way at the end of the building complex. "Jackson is very fortunate to have a combination fire department of staff and volunteers," said Redwine. "We had a great volunteer response."
