Wednesday Dispatch: Drug offense, theft and 2 hit and runs

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 44 calls to the area dispatch on Wednesday, January 13. *Crime Reports and Arrests* Drug Offense: At 12:33 a.m. on Wednesday, Jackson Police officers were dispatched to a local hotel in reference to drug use by guests. Officers contacted the suspected drug users and found obvious signs of drug use. A search located illegal substances and further investigation is ongoing. Theft: On Monday at 1:12 p.m., a person reported to the Jackson Police department that he left his cell phone in the restroom of a restaurant. When he returned for it, the phone was gone. Surveillance video showed only one person using the restroom between the times the phone was left and discovered missing. Follow-up continues to identify the suspect. *Collisions * There were six auto collisions yesterday, including two hit and runs. Hit and Run: On Wednesday at 3:13, a subject reported to the Jackson Police Department that another vehicle backed into her parked vehicle. Both parties have been contacted and follow-up continues. Hit and Run: At 5:13 p.m. on Wednesday, a man reported to the Jackson Police Department that a victim reported his vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked and unattended. According to the Jackson PD, there are no leads. *Other* Other dispatch reports included medical assists, warrant attempts, welfare checks, driving complaints, citizen assists, and a pedestrian stop. #buckrail #news
