First annual Off Season Shorts to show 30 short films in 2 days

(Victor, Idaho) - Next month is the first-ever Off Season Shorts Film Festival at the historic Pierre’s Playhouse in Victor, Idaho. "For this event, we've gathered films from some of the best and brightest filmmakers from around the globe. This, our inaugural year, we will showcase films from 10 different states and five different countries," stated a release issued by the Off Season Shorts Film Festival. The festival will feature short films (15 minutes or less) as well as videos from “Frostbite Follies,” which is a competition for locals to re-enact their favorite iconic movie scene in three minutes or less. for its first year, the festival had 50 film submissions and have selected 30 to show, including the "Frostbite Follies" during the two day festival. And the festival doesn't just feature national and international filmmakers. Locals have been selected as well, including a documentary made by a Jackson Community School student and one by Jen Tennican and Rebecca Huntington who produced the award winning films “Far Afield: A Conservation Love Story" and "The Stagecoach Bar: An American Crossroads."
