(Jackson, Wyo.) - Join Aladdin as he ventures into a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian tales, ranging from Ali Baba to Scheherazade to Sinbad the Sailor when Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 50 local students perform a spiced-up musical adaptation of this classic tale. Support Jackson’s aspiring young thespians by coming to watch one of *two free performances *at 2:30 p.m. or 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Jackson Hole High School Auditorium. This original musical production is presented locally by partners, including Teton County Library, which has supported this opportunity for Jackson Hole children to learn about theater first-hand for more than a decade. Teton County Library and Missoula Children’s Theater invite *children*, in kindergarten through eighth grade, to *audition for **“Aladdin,” at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25*. No advance preparation is necessary for this group audition, students should just come ready to have a good time! The show’s touring director will cast approximately 50 local students, although there’s no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast. Students rehearse daily to prepare for the Saturday performances. Missoula Children’s Theatre is a non-profit based in Missoula, Mont. and their Jackson residency is made possible through the support of the Teton County Library Foundation and community donations.
