Winter Weather Advisory: 6 - 12 inches predicted for the mountains

(Jackson, Wyo.) - As of 8:19 p.m. on Tuesday night, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory to remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20. The advisory states that there will be "periods of snow tonight and Wednesday. There will be bursts of moderate to heavy snow. Snowfall will taper off Wednesday evening." The advisory predicts snowfall of "3 to 5 inches in the valleys. Snowfall of 6 to 12 inches in the mountains."
