9 artists chosen to display at the Center Theater Gallery

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Today, the Center for the Arts announced the artists selected to display their work in The Center Theater Gallery in 2016. The first exhibition of the year is a series of sculptures by Ogden, Utah artist, Suzanne Storer, entitled “Who We Are.” Storer’s exhibition will hang from February 3 - 29, and The Center will host an opening night reception on Friday, February 5 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. Last fall, The Center held a regional call to artists for the upcoming year. A jury of art advocates including Jen Simon, Mark Nowlin, and Carolyn Ripps selected seven artists from the forty applicants. "We are thrilled to have such an impressive list of artists showing this year at The Center. Each show will include an opening reception and a more intimate art talk where the community learns about the artist's creative process," said Carrie Richer, The Center’s Art in Public Spaces Coordinator. “It is always fascinating to hear what an artist was thinking about when creating their work, and we’ve found that the community enjoys being part of these conversations." 2016 Center Theatre Gallery Artists include: - Suzanne Storer - Kayla Arend, Ignis Anima production - Paul Sisson - Steven Glass - Amy Bright Unfried - Wendell Field & Mike Piggott - Kathryn Mapes Turner - Shannon Troxler - Eleanor Anderson *Feature Photo: Suzanne Storer's “Who We Are." h/t Center for the Arts /
