Avalanche victims were from Australia and Arizona

(Teton Village, Wyo.) - The Teton County Sheriff's Office announced that the two skiers who were killed by an avalanche today are described as a white 46-year-old male from Australia and a white 36-year-old female from Arizona. Authorities have not yet released the names. Today at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Teton County Communication Center received a call from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort that there was an avalanche in the Ralph Slide area. Ski Patrol went out to investigate. Ski Patrol reported there were three people in the party, with only one accounted for. Teton County Search and Rescue was called in to assist with the search. Search began for the two missing skiers (a white 46 year old male from Australia and a white 36 year old female from Arizona). The searchers located the two missing skiers. The skiers were pronounced deceased at the scene. The two bodies were released to the Teton County Coroner’s Office for further investigation and notification of family. #buckrail #news
